Autism Is...
Ever since our journey with autism began, I've stumbled across the following statements..
"Autism is a Marathon and not a sprint".
"Autism is a puzzle".
I've never liked doing puzzles, just never got the hang of them. Looking at all those small particles makes me dizzy and now I'm faced with the biggest puzzle I could come across.
As for running/jogging, never really had the physique for it, my feet would ache rather too quickly and I would be breathless..
Yet the Lord reminded me of Isaiah 40 through one of the Autism e groups..
"Comfort ye, Comfort ye my people, saith your God. ..He shall..gently lead those that are with young...They shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faith."
"Who alone doth wondrous things..blessed be the Lord "..Psalm 72

I think a sense of humor is definitely going to help you on your journey, too!
Those are wonderfully comforting verses, though, aren't they?
